We're 6 and 4...I'm about to panic. Ben has a concussion, Batch has a wrist injury...darn.
Anyways these prosthetics and robotic and cyborg issues we brought up in class today got me thinking about the state of sports in the future...when these technologies become run-of-the-mill procedures, how are sports going to deal with them?
Would professional sports leagues have to turn down a player with a bionic eye? Or tell a guy with a cyborg arm that he can't play even though technically he's just handicapped?
This is weird stuff that we're starting to get into because this kind of stuff isn' t fiction anymore. It's becoming real. Which is cool and frightening at the same time because who knows what kind of capabilities people can have in the future...
